Ah... Same age (give or take a few months)....

I grew up riding 4" of travel also...   and in many ways... still prefer it..     You will catch me out in the desert on my Old Husqvarnas and bultacos more than you will the new Long travel stuff...

The 500 is still a WEAPON in D38...  Feared by many....   Especially the Roost...

Loop holes are easy...

Im a happy customer...   I can give you more details VIA PM...   as I have already tossed out more info than I care to toss out in a public forum...

KxPegger... dont EVEN get me started on Kalifornia...     I have looked at moving to AZ many times...

2-Stroke Tom:
Welcome BronkoRob. I'm right up the road from you in Capo Beach. I raced 250s in District 37 for years, and want to start competing again on my 500. I've logged a ton of off rode miles (mines not plated, but I want a full race bike so no headlights, computers, kickstands, etc.) in the last year and feel very confident riding the 500 now. Never ridden in San Diego County, but I'm open to try.

BronkoRob:
it would be cool to get a couple 500s together and go riding sometime.  i need to get some hours on it and get a feel for it off road before i go out and race it.  maybe we should try get a trip together with the socal guys.

Your not leaving us so soon are you??!!    I was excited to get a socal kx500 group going

BronkoRob:
i really hope not.  but since i got the bike on a whim, and just couldnt pass up on the price i now have 2 killer modern bikes.  both are for sale, my KX and the YZ250F.  i will end up keeping whatever bike i have left.  i really cant afford 2 newer bikes.  i know i will ride both and keep dumping parts, time, money into both.  im actually getting more people interested in my YZ, which is good for me, since the KX is newer, nicer and a killer upgrade.  so i really hope the YZ sells.  that and my wife is getting tired of me dragging bikes home,  as you saw in the pics, the garage is getting a little crowded.
