Come on! What could be more fun then getting all sweaty cramming stuff in an undersized bag and then getting into riding gear?! Agree on not fighting 6hrs of traffic with the freeway idiots that are trying to kill you. Hope the launch went well.

Small backpacking tent.

there is a tan 1967 one parked infront of the buick at the left of the pic...
ON a side note... car ran great... drove till 1am ish.. to Gila Bend... we are cheap. and used to "stealth camping".. so I GPS'ed a dirt road off into the Sonoran desert.. and we slept there. woke up and drove the rest of the way into casa grande... had breakfast in a little cafe. and on to friends house... loaded up bikes. and rode approx 75 miles (via dirt roads across indian reservation).. sorry didnt stop to take pictures... lots of bad looks..
we are currently sitting next to the pool at a Best western in "Apache junction" to ;beat the heat, and the weekend traffic on the next 2lane road we are going on.. so we will zip out of here early in the AM.. and head tward "Strawberry" AZ.....
here are some pictures of where we slept for the night.. total fluke.. we hit what was once the "first batalion mormon trail". which was also the Butterfield stage route.. could still see the trail pounded into the desert.
