Well I think when  most people think of a 4-stroke there thinking the same easy maintence of the Honda XR's,but those new 4-strokes need a lot of maintence to keep them running strong and parts for them arent cheap,or to hop them up!4-strokes are great, but if you read a magazine you would think thats all you have to choose from and that the 2-stroke is already dead!It just amazes me how so many people jumped on the 4-stroke band wagon,in my opinion its the tree huggers that got the EPA to get the wrecking ball rolling over the 2-strokes and eliminate them, slowly faze them out so theres not a big stink as if they just killed them all at once. Its like the continuing rise in the price of gas,two years ago we were upset gas got to $1.50 or $1.75,last year we were upset it was up to $2.00 a gallon and this year were going to see $3.00 a gallon. So this year we would be happy if it stayed at $2.00,its all about conditioning so people accept it and they dont raise a stink. So in my opinion its the tree huggers that have killed the KX500,its like a t-shirt I saw  that said "forget the whales, save the 2-stroke!",and now I'll step off my soap box!

Folke:
2-stroke will be back this year it will begin in 125cc look at Yamaha 125-05. I think about 2-3 years the 4-stroke is dead,it?s to expensiv to repair. The new 2-stoke is cleaner, better in  bottom then 4-stroke.
Long live 2-stroke !!!!

Amen, Mike Smith

HULKSTER:
Amen!

Nice looking 450, but not for me. The only 4 stroke you will see me on is my street bike. Like the smell of 2 strokes too much.
