The Flyin Hawaiian:
This is a pretty popular conversion, theres guys on TT forum doing it as well as on KDXRider. Ive been thinking of doing one after the 500 is done, whenever that is.

--- Quote from: don46 on January 19, 2011, 08:29:39 AM ---I'm going to do it, I picked up two KDX 200's, an 89 and 91, both are complete and run. I'm going to make sure I have the parts I need and part out the rest of the bikes. I've got a bike on the Jig right now and then I'm having rotator cuff surgery the 21st of Mar so after that I'm going to hit it.

Awesome! Must get lots of pics and start a build thread. Hope your surgery goes well. Keep us posted.

don46:
gathering up the parts, I'm using a 02 kx 125, primarily because there are a boatload of parts out there. It is my intention to assume the parts are junk and will need to be rebuilt so I re do the forks, shock all the linkeage new seat cover, rebuild the motor and powdercoat the frame and swingarm.

sintax:

Don: I have not made any progress on this yet. I'd still like to do it, but just have a lot of projects up in the air currently. I have a 1991 KDX as a donor, but I just need to find the late model KX125. I kinda want to avoid the 1999-2002 era KX's due to the lack of parts in the near future.

Then again, maybe i'll just say screw it and go buy a 2011 GasGas 300 since thats really what i want =)
