You could use all 450 forks (provided you have the triples as well) and the shock. Many people that race are using the 250f components and setting them up for the 450 (Showa) they claim they make a world of difference. The other thing I think I would do is get a 450 swingarm, they are a couple of inchs longer, I'm contemplating trying one on my 250/250f conversion. I need to look at a 250f/500 conversion sometime cause I can't hardly believe that it fits, the 250 motor was a treat getting in there.

The forks are from an 09 250f... Yeah i was wondering how much longer the 450 swing arm really was and if it is worth it for me to get one. The service honda's kx 500 af uses the 250f chassis, I wonder if they use the 450 swingarm.... I doubt it. As for my other bike, I'm not going to part it out... Keeping that one all together.

This is the measurement of an 06 250f swingarm. Anybody know how much longer a 450 swingarm really is?

I thought you could order either a Kaw 450 or 250 frame AF from Service Honda? I know a guy with a CRF250 with the CR500 motor, its probably from 2006 or so. But the Kaws thought most all they built were on the larger chassis.
Charlie500:
The older ones were made with 450 frames....

the uni trak linkage on that thing looks sooo different than the one on my 89 kx250
