Howdy! New K5 for me!

(1/3) > >>

SweetTea:
Hi all, I've been lurking around on this site for a few years now, finally joined, haha.  I'm from NC, living in Utah, and working in SD currently.  I mostly ride dunes/desert/woods, all recreation, no racing.  I have to say that I have a huge passion for dune riding.  I've been to Little Sahara, Utah and Oklahoma several times, St. Anthony, and smaller dune areas such as Sand Hollow,Coral Pink and various little desert places.

It's has been a dream of mine for a long time to have the big K5.  Well I finally got her, it's a 2000 KX500, seems to be in pretty good shape.  It's all stock except for an FMF Turbine Core.  I haven't ridden it yet, I'm away on work.  But hopefully I should be able to throw a leg over her late October, early November, can't wait!

This is going to be a great project bike that I hope to keep for all eternity, lol.  I've got a few machines as it is, currently a 07 WR450F, 07 Raptor 700, 06 YFZ 450(WIFEYs) and now the big K5.  Starting from the begining I've owned a XR100, KDX220, KTM400EXC, KTM300EXC, TRX450R, KTM525EXC.

I've been studying lots and lots of threads on here, most of my questions have already been answered, but I'm sure more will arise once I finally start riding and working on the big beast.  Look forward to learning from all of you!

It's been awhile since I've had been on a 2smoke, and can't way to mix oil in my gas once again!

Happy Trails!

SweetTea:
Central Utah, south of Salt Lake.  I'm gonna try to hit up Cherry Creek when I get back, hopefully theres no snow on the ground by then!  I've never been there, even though its just right up the road from Little Sahara.

Thanks for the welcoming!

 Hey ST,
Glad you signed up and congrats on the new bike.   While your away at work get a copy of the clymer or FSM. Read through it before you get back home, you'd be surprised at how much good things are in there most guys gloss over.
Take car and welcome to the site.
