chap:
I have an 07 kx250 two stroke with 48mm kayaba forks.I found a good deal on a set of revalved forks with the spring rate i need but they are 48mm kayabas from a yamaha.Does anyone know if i can use my kx brake caliper, will it bolt on and line up with my rotor, and also can i use my kx axle.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

KXDINO:
There a very good change it will work, as they both use KYB'S and nissan brakes. but if it was me, i would get the right spring rates and a gold vavle set up for you.I've had good success just modifyling the standard vavling.
"Remember" those for might be revalved, but that does not mean they will be correct for your weight, speed or condition's you ride in.

If you want your kx to handle better get a pro circiut dog leg they are 3mm longer.Give you more trail and stop the front end washing out half way out thought a corner. i got it and i really recommend it.

chap:
How do you modify the standard valving yourself? You must have some experience in this.I would not know where to begin. The reason i want these forks is not because they are revalved it is because both of my forks got bent in a bad crash so i thought this would be the cheapest way to go.I am interested as to what you did to revalve your forks yourself.

jfabmotorsports.com:
You need to check the triple clamp diameters. Not all forks of the same tube size have the same triple dia. Get the calipers out.

KXDINO:
yes jfab is right
kx 250 06-08  59mm bottom 56mm top same as the yz250-06 on, yz 450 09 the same, but between triple clamps is different 182mm for kx 193mm for yz 250 yz 450 around 186mm something to consider for adjustment. up and down!
have you got any prices on parts for your forks
i don't know about if the front wheel fits try to get a friends with a yz and see if it changes over?

let me know if it works
