(1/2) > >>

danimal:
just checking in before i start posting:)i have several a banshee,CR250,and the 1 that will peek interest here a 86 Kawi, tecate 3 wheeler with a 92KX5 motor :-othe motor came off craigslist out of a wrecked bike,so dont worry i didnt cut up a K5 to get the mill:)i was told that it had a new top end, which turns out it actually did, along with some rather nice looking port work,a FMF pipe and a modified FMF stinger.the previous owner couldnt tell me much about the actual build, who did it,what parts were used ect. regaurdless that really isnt good enough for me :evil:after riding my banshee, with all the normal bolt-ons and some porting done by yours truley i think that it is still faster than the K5 :|which makes no sense to me at all :?the trike is lighter, should make more hp but still seems slower???the thing i have noticed is that the banshee seems to have alot more rpm to offer. So should it be faster,or do i just need to learn to ride the K5 differently due to the torque curve and the much larger piston not being able to accelerate as fast?so basically i want to make this thing sick,it will only be used for ice,and dunes riding,so any advice you can give me would be appreciated :-Dany ways good to be a member here, here are a couple pics of my build

Danimal,
Welcome aboard, I think there are some good things to be learned and discussed on this forum.  A lot of members have some great input and feedback to offer, so hopefully you can learn something new or help someone else out with your knowledge.
It wouldnt suprise me to see a well built banshee beat a K5 motor.  As you stated the Shee can turn some high rpm's compared to the K5.  Remember when the Quadzilla was king and got run out by the Shee. (I do however believe the K5 is more superior to the LT, but same concept)  Just an opinion here, so take as you wish.  And I'd like to see some pics of that thing so get your posts working.   :-D

Welcome Dan,
You Silly Wabit, This is the 500 engine you want for the Three wheeler....

  Just kidding, I couldn't resist...
You are onto something with the twins and higher revs.  I just don't have the technical savy to 'spain it.   :-P
Maybe some of the big H.P. builders could steer you in the right direction.
Glad to have you with us,
  Tuck\o/
