Hello to all, old Kaw racer, new to KX 500 though

Hey guys, the names Doc. Im a chiropractor in SC and I just recently acquired a 1995 KX 500 in great shape. Now my intentions with this bike are a lil different. I want to make it a land speed bike. I have been doing some events on the East coast for a while and always liked the power to weight ratio of dirtbikes and 2 strokes in general. Something like the one Ive been reading about on here but it will most likely be a streamliner as opposed to the production racer like the one ive read about here. I dont want to divuldge my plans but I have some tricks up my sleeve. ive been racing NOS injected 4 cylinder streetbike and been 192 on my daily rider, 05' ZX-12r built.
Now I have been thinking of running NOS on this bike, say maybe 15 horsepower jetting with fuel enrichment(wet). Does anyone on here know much about spraying 2 strokes?
I am researching as much as I can and this is what Ive got so far:
1995 kx 500 stock bore, fresh piston now and seals but I want to replace all seals, gaskets, piston with window mod, head reshaping, compression release, new carb.
Bike already has a gnarly Gold series pipe now which is like new. I am interested in this higher top gear Ive read about. Def need to look into that.
Thats about it for now. Thanks for all the great information. Keep it up.

Just an old rider:

Welcome to the site. I whipped up a NOS plate one night just as a gag. I could ship it with a small rubber inner tube looking deal that I used a long time ago. You being a chiropractor can figure out what to do with that after hitting the buttom on your test bike.  :-D

Hey thanks for the welcome guys. I am aqcuiring parts for the build now shopping around and looking for things I will need. Jfab that NOS spacer plate is perfect. It looks like it goes between reed cage and intake, will reed spacer mod work with this installed? I know a 20 shot of nos is prob a big jump over gains with spacer only, but both would be best for flow etc. Also, with a new wiseco windowed piston, how much nos could be sprayed theoretically? For one mile runs at maxton, with big bikes, I dont usually like to go over 20 hp per piston with intake charge temps getting real high over the longer duration. Forged pistons would be a lil better as well as a solid copper head gasket and ARP head bolts. Does anyone make this stuff for the KX? Just beef the top end up and make the comp decent enough to run real strong on the NOS.
Also, wheres the best place to get a complete gasket kit, seals or bearings for these bikes? I have seen suppliers on here for pistons, head work, and some other stuff. Im just trying to find some suppliers to put things together. Thanks for everyones input. I appreciate it.
