Stalling issue

(1/1)

Trashrider:
I have an 04 KX250. It seems to stall easy. Is this common for these bikes? Does anyone run flywheel weights? Any suggestions.

Hillclimb#42:
If its still stock gearing, get a 13 for it.

Something as simple as trying different gear box oil can help by improving the clutch action.  My 450 is noticeably less stall-prone with Shell Rotella T and my KX500 liked ATF.  Flywheel weights help tons and as HC42 mentioned, so does lower gearing. I used all 3 on my 450. Hope this helps. Cam.

Trashrider:
Thanks all. I ran an enduro this past Sunday and had zero stall issues. The bike is box stock and was a great woods bike. The small tank was a slight issue but great pit support fixed that.
I am liking my green bike!

Trash,
One of my riding buddies has an 06 KX250.   The bike does a great job of crawling up the ugly single track hills that we ride - and his has an SST top end pipe.  A larger tank is nice but I have been able to make do with an odometer and then figure out my max range.  I use a $15 BC800 bicycle speedo as an enduro computer.  Works excellent.  I have a post here somewhere on how to do it.  Cam.
