The conversion i did myself i dont like to have things done when i have no control or input into the work that needs to be done like on a conversion when you are cutting and rewelding i am now rebuilding the motor at the same time bigboring it to 285 as i was told the 310 will not rev out as well and can vibrate some will let you know how it goes

That is a SWEET looking bike! Most everything I have seen on this site so far is awesome. Everyone does great work! I am just getting parts and things together to do a KX250AF conversion. I have done a little research and found a few how to guides but nothing that is really detailed and most articles are for the 500AF. Do you have to cut and re-weld the front of the cradle on the 250F chassis to fit the 250 motor like you do to fit the 500 motor in the 450 chassis? Also if anyone knows of a 250F rolling chassis for a decent price I'd like to know about it! Thanks!

Yes you will need to cut and raise the Y spar section and make engine mounts to suit if you have a tig and can weld good you wont find it to hard to do
