GREENKAW24:
Hey all, my name is Todd, and I'm from West Warren, MA. I race hillclimbs in the New England District and also compete nationally. I come from a family with multiple national and multiple multiple New England Points Championships in hillclimb, with myself winning a National and a points championship. I race a 1991 KX500 that is heavily modified from its '91 state, meaning only the engine, part of the frame, and rear hub are original on the bike. I also race a 1998 KX250 with a 310 kit, and a 1998 CR250. I also own a 2004 CR250 and my wife has a 1999 KX125, so there are plenty of green machines in the garage. I think this site is great from what I have seen so far, and I am looking forward to sharing info and learning with the rest of you KXriders.

GREENKAW24:
Hillclimb #42, I myself have only raced in one Pro NAHA race, but my father, uncle and 2 cousins have raced AMA Pro. What I meant by nationally was the AMA Sports National Hillclimbs, that are held once a year, in '08 it was held in Waterford, Ohio.

GreenKaw24,

Welcome to the forum. I am fairly new here myself, and have enjoyed all of the clean topics. Want to here more on your Green Machines, who did your 310 kit? I also have a K5 and a 2 fiddy.

GREENKAW24:
I got the 310 kit from my friend who use to race pro dirt track. My uncle actually put the sleeve in it years ago for him. It is a '91 cylinder on the '98 bottom end, which is the same thing my friend did with it, he put it on his '98 bottom end. I had my uncle port it and set the compression for high rpm, but I tried using a kx125 ignition on it and it did not work very well. Not enough advance on low end with the 125 ignition. So next season I will be running it with the 250 ignition. The KX500 is in an altered 91 frame that now fits the 03-07 KX250 seat and plastics and I'm using the 47mm Showa front forks, and 50mm Showa rear shock with no linkage on the custom swingarm.

DoldGuy:
GreenKaw24,

Do you still have the power valves operational? I have a 90 cylinder that had me thinking to try on the newer bottom end, very curious of this setup. What bore size are you running? Stroke? I would like to see some pics of the setup, pm me for a email address.
