Hello from South Dakota

(1/1)

73G5100:
Hello. Old two strokes are my thing.  I started riding and working on Kawasaki Gs and Fs back in the 60s and 70s.  When the Kawasaki dealer in my home town closed I ended up working on many rotary valve bikes. I?ve owned Kawasaki bikes from 100cc to 900cc.  I?ve still got my 1984 KX 500 which I bought new. It?s all original except it was sleeved in 85. This forum is one of the best. On the others people never seem to answer questions.

 Welcome aboard!
Where can we find some pictures of that old tin you mentioned?   Experience is always good to have around, Please jump in anywhere.
Enjoy the Ride.

DoldGuy:
Welcome!

As yourself, I am a 2 Stroke nut, and started out with the Old Suzuki TS, TM, series (Rotary & Piston Port / What was a Reed Valve???) and had to find employment elsewhere when the shop had to close. I know we both have enjoyed the Great / Clean enviro here , and I want to here more about the "Tin Can".

Heres one for you, one of the locals here just set a land speed record on one of those old Kaw Rotarys (100cc class).

GDubb:
Welcome to KXRiders!
I hope you have pics to share of that ol' KX500... Dont get to see them very often and can never get enough!
