250 jetting

(1/1)

stuart1981:
hi, does anybody know the correct jetting for a totally standard 1999 kx250?

Wizzy214:
i dont know about standard mine could be
main-160
pilot-45

99 kx250
runs great in the high desert at around 5k feet
and great at 1k

Hillclimb#42:
158 main, 45 pilot, 3rd clip adjustment, 2 turns out on mixture. Adjust for temps and elevation from there. If you have or install a pipe, FMF and Pro Circuit have jetting recommendations.

Friar-Tuck:
I snooped around a little and there were several posts that seemed to imply a rich condition resulting in fouled plugs with a stock engine at factory jetting for trail riders.

My Clymer only shows the 250's to 89.   :?

  ( The '89 is a #7 slide and the plug is a  ngk br9eg  .020-.024)

This was from bills pipes.
