Dutch-K5 Fan:
Use GSX-R 1000 springs there the same!!!!!!!!!! Cost ?110,- for 4 springs if I'm right.
With stock cams you don't need special springs. OM cost ?70,- for 4 springs.
Lot cheaper horse:buck ratio than exhaust and garantie of no valve spring failler. Blown up is much more.
Changed pisten every 20 maybe 25 hour.

I didn't know about the GSXr valve springs, excellent tip. Any particular year or they all the same? I run the Wiesco High compression piston in my 250f, do you run stock or one of the other brands?

chap:
I rode the bike and was very impressed. With the 290cc kit in it it pulled my 210 pound frame around very well, very close to my 07 kx250 but with that sweet fourstroke power.I dont motocross just ride in the bush, race the odd harescramble for fun, except when a friend passes me then it is on lol.Besides the 290 kit,it has new kibblewhite stainless steel valves, hotrods rod kit,new head, complete bearing replacement(swing arm, linkage, wheel bearings) and much more. Its really tight and looks great too.I bought the bike and am in the process of makin it my own.It doesny have the new water oil pump cover tho.Is boyesen the only outfit who makes this cover?I am sure it will be a pain in the arse to drain the coolant every filter change.Fairly new too fourstrokes tho so what oil should i be running and how often should i b changing it(lots i presume).

Dutch-K5 Fan:
There many manufacturers of water/filter covers.
I don't no if there is a special year for the GSX-R springs, race shop just have's them.
I also run KTM footpege, my org. were worn and the KTM are wider and cheaper. Only the kickstarter hits the on the wrong place. We have had bad luck with aftermarket pistons. Burning up oil, strange ware. Stock pistons no probleme, even with Pro Circuit cams.

Suzuki gave all dutch 04 RMZ 250 larger radiators. With stock I didn't had problems, ran a 1.6 radiatorgap. Later used for safty the lager radiators plus 1.6 gap.
Run Idle speed at 3000rpm for easy starting and les engine braking.

chap:
Has anyone put a flywheel weight on these 250f's.Just wondering what weight a person should put on.For the bush you have have to be quick on the clutch hand.Would a flywheel weight hurt the power of this small bike too much r could i get away with some weight.I guess the other alternative would be an auto clutch.
By the way with the 290 kit in this bike it makes a potent offroad scoot, very impressed.
