2000 kx 250 front brakes- rear brakes
Kawasakinut:
hello again got a question. anyone know what a front caliper costs new (only the part that that holds the pistons)? another question how much does the rear brake part (the one that slides on the swingarm cost new? i'm thinking of buying new. i'm tired of looking at my beat down parts. again these parts are for a 2000 kx 250. thanks

If you go to http://www.ronayers.com/ they have an online micro fiche you can look up the parts you want and when you add them to your basket it gives you the price. Most of your cast aluminum parts can be made to look new with a glass bead blaster if you do not own one you should if like doing things like this. You can get a blast cabinet relatively cheep from http://www.harborfreight.com/. If you get one there are all sorts of stuff you need to know about using one but that would probably be a whole new topic to be covered.

i think i have a spare front caliper off a 99. if i can find it i'll let it go for shipping costs.
The Flyin Hawaiian:
If your trying to remove the pistons from the caliper, try compressed air. Tie a rag around the caliper so you dont shoot the piston across the shop. Use a rubber tipped blow gun and put the tip in the brake line hole. Close the bleeder. You wont need alot of pressure so be careful. Dont stand in front of it when doing this!

You have to use shellac on turds. I recommend five to six coats so you get that nice deep shine. :-D :-D :-D
