New KX 65

Want to purchase a new 65 for my almost 8 year old son. How does the KX 65 compare to the KTM SX 65. Can the the motor on the KX be re-sleeved or do you have to buy a new cylinder when needed like a CR 85. And how many hours before the top and bottom end have to be re-done. Son has out grown a CRF 70 in size and ability and wants to move to a two stroke. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
