-SA = '95
-TA = '96
-VA = '97
but doesn't show "LA". 250's all start with KX250......
Double-check vin #'s. There is alot of stolen bikes out there, and they usually are a bargain.

A tenth digit of L means its a 1990... Just as stewart guessed...
--- Quote from: The Flyin Hawaiian on January 15, 2008, 12:12:53 PM ---Cylinders too tall for a 250, its got a 19 inch wheel only the 89 250 had that in that body style and the tank would be wrong for a 89 250. The pipe doesnt wrap around like that on a 250.

And the 250's that use that tank style also have conventional forks...
The Flyin Hawaiian:
The 88 250 shared the bigger 500 tank and had 43mm forks. The 89 had a similar tank but didnt have the upper bulge, 46mm forks. For some reason, the euro's got usd forks in 89 but the mags liked the 46mm conventionals that we got. Just some useless info.
