TerMaaten KX500:
Hello all. Realll glad i found this site. Just got a 98 KX500. Had a 92 KX250 in back in high school and when i was able to get a d.b. again i went for the KX5.

just moved to the old man's old house on the granddad's old dairies. it's next to the santa ana river here in so cal. we got a little time 'till the houses come, and the cows went to texas. so here we got river sand, cow crap, and open pasture. haven't taken any pictures yet, but will soon. pics of some bikes are at www.myspace.com/mikectm

Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy the bike. Once we learn how to get the 500 to start easy, the next thing we learn is throttle control. This can be learned before the emergency room visit or not.
Just kidding, twist that throttle all the way!

TerMaaten KX500:
for easy starting, what i've read/learned is - turn the choke on, cycle through slowly two or three times, then give it a good kick. is there anything better, sure like to know if there is.

The digital camera is set to go. how many posts 'till i can do an avatar?

Spider:
I use the same method you do. Here is the thread with the method used by other members.    http://www.kxriders.com/forums/index.php/topic,2169.0.html
I think you have to have 10 posts to qualify for an avatar.
