Thats cool, you can call me anything, just don't call me a 4-stroke rider!

Yeah,
You can call me anything; just don't call me late for dinner.

Trying to dissociate myself with my email address and the forum name I normally use. Why? Just not good to be so trackable and I had to start somewhere. Might say something controversial or immature and have it come up on a google search by an employer etc...
Anywho, this is a name I made up for AIM and hotmail atleast 10 years ago. Sort of means, "Oh, I see nothing" Good fallback when I get fussed at for not using the search function :D
SlideWays:
Mine is kind of a long story, so will try to shorten it up. Back in the early 70's :mrgreen:we couldn't afford "real" dirt bikes, we used striped down road bikes. Some of the older rich kids had Maico's or Bultaco. My first bike cost me $50.00, got the money picking strawberries, at 0.35 cents a flat, it took a long time to make the $50 bucks. Bought an old Moto-Guzzi from the neighbor, had been sitting in his garage for at least 10 years, was real old school even for then. Had bicycle handlebars, springer front shocks and a big old flat seat with two springs underneath for support. It was a real POS but me and a couple friends got the thing running. It didn't have a key or a kill switch so to stop it I either choked it to death or would put the bike into a slide by locking up the rear wheel and leaving the clutch out. Everyone started calling me sideways because that's how I always ended up stopping, before long it progressed to slideways and the name has stuck with me for years. As ugly as that old Guzzi was I loved it finally sold the thing for $500.00.
Mr. Torque:
My name was given to me by fellow drag racers in the late 90's and 2000's. I used to run the Fun Ford Weekend and NMRA drag racing series with a 64 Fairlane and a mid 8 second 1/4 mile mustang. I also used to own/operate a race engine shop where I had several oval track records with my engines and have had several in Popular Hot Rodding and MMFF magazines....hence the name Mr. Torque 8-)
