took 80 days to complete the rebuild from a complete tear down, painted frame, re-greased everything, new suspension linkage and bearings, new chain guide and rub plate, grips,06 front fender,chain, and top and bottom-rebuild. not too shabby. just waiting on the 02 graphics.

That was a scary piston to re-install buddy. I have pulled bikes apart that haven't been rebuilt in 5 years an they didn't look that carboned. What kind of 2 stroke oil are you using? Its way cheaper to put a piston in it than to have a piston failure like was mentioned. I painted a frame once. It was all beat up on the first ride. They have many colors of powder coat that is way more durable and was less than $200. I powder coated my frame black (standard powder coat color) and not so much as a knick in a year.
I had one of those clutch covers too. It looks sweet, but be careful with oil level check screw. It strips out pretty easy. What kind of clutch basket is that, Boysen? That looks pretty sweet too.
