cooling system
Hillclimb#42:
It won't hurt any thing, as long as you have coolant in there. I don't think it could be normal, but a little bit is ok, espescially after it gets real hot. It probably will leak some after a fill up, but it should stop eventually. If it is constant, then you probably should get a cap for the confidence in your ride factor.

Thanks guys. I'll let ya know how things go if i get a new radiator cap.

I had the same problem and the cap was bad I changed it and can ride for about 4 hours in Arizona and do not loose any fluid at all. I would change it so that while out away from civilization you do not run the chance of it blowing and then you would have to push the beast back and that is not fun at all belive me. The cap is about $25 from Kawi and it is usualy in stock.
stewart:
i like the rad caps from auto parts store,,, easy to get,, same as like a old toyota cap
Rowdy-Yates:
Hello I know this post is kinda old but I am sure it is your cap. Fluid will come gushing out of your drain when the cap is removed. And a constant dripping while you are riding points me to the cap. The bike is a 1993 and the cap might be the same age. You would know if you had a blown head gasket. Trust me on that one.
