New here. Project 500

(1/3) > >>

Cody:
Well I am new here with a project 500. Well I dont know the year yet, but it does need a Cylinder, Piston, and Head. I know these things will run. I just dont know how well I will be able to hold the bike up. I am 5foot 6 1/2inches and about 150 lbs. I was thinking shorter fork springs, shaved seat, and stuff like that.

alan:
Welcome Cody! :-D :-D :-D

blackkx:
welcome aboard . chopping the seat is one way of helping but i think that you can get a lowering link to drop it a little not a 100 percent sure but there are many kx5 riders her that im sure will chime in and set me straight if im wrong  :-D

FuriouSly:
Howdy.....  twist the throttle and the bike stays up all by itself

Seriously, shave the seat and practice your one leg stops.  I have friends with your similar height that ride full size bikes and just learn to compensate.  Look for rocks or off camber stops for support.  The guys in the sand just park on ridges or next to each other and use anothers foot pegs to start their bikes.

Get that bike running and get some pics of you teaching it whos boss!!

Sly

Cody:
