MadKaw:
beautiful up there, for sure. well sharky, looks like we'll see which 1 of us gets our bike together first...then we'll take these little newborns out for a cherry popping ride!

Mudshark:
:-D hehe! the race is on !
The "rebuild" suffered a bit today when I discovered that the axle lock bolts
on the fork bottoms were stripped (2 of 4) After tapping to a larger size and
replacing the bolts the rebuild continued. It's starting to look like a bike again.

MadKaw:
she's lookin good man. gonna be doin a total rebuild on my engine... but its gonna be better than it was before...stronger...faster...we have the technology 8-) gonna cost me about a grand to get her done, wish I could do the work myself. never been into a moto motor before though. nervous about getting it together and then having to redo it. but man yours is coming together nice. that frame looks good. would like to do a frame up on mine. I did find a brand new 2001 kx250 at a dealership though. would like to buy it and use mine as a parts bike, but don't tell it I said that!

Mudshark:
Thanks MadKaw, I'm planning a motor rebuild next year also.
I'm planning to replace the:
Jug
Whole Crank / bottom end assembly.
Piston / rings / small end
My boar is ruined, the previous owner let a bunch of sand in through the air filter.
anyhow, it'll still do for a few more months  :-D
But because of the sand, I'm replacing it all. Oh yes, I'll trade in the Pro Circuit Works pipe for a
Gnarly for the woods.
I'm still waiting for the rear end bearings, clutch cable and silencer packing to arrive next week,
then I can finish off the build.

MadKaw:
sounds likethe same thing I'm having to do now. crank, rod, piston, replating the cylinder. its a total frankenstien job. I think I could do the frame up thing later, but I'm not messin with the engine.
