NEW PIPE
scarykxer:
Guys, can anyone give me some advice on what will be the best Expansion for my bike.I have a new FMF can with with a an FMF Gold Series pipe, but its taken a real beating by the last owner..What would be the best replacement pipe to suit my bike ?.....As you know im running the 580 conversion with really extreme porting, polishing and skimming,Wiseco +40,and a lightened/balanced crank..My problem being, with my kx being in Supermoto trim,it is only used on the road as a weekend toy,so what pipe would suit for making the best of the power, but keep the bike as reliable as possible..Thanks guys, any input would be greatly appreciated  :-D
gowen:
What type of power do you like? a four stroke grunt and some decent mid range? or a hit up top with not quite as much torque off the rpm?
FMF Gnarly is great for torque and mid range pull..
FMF Gnarly Desert is for a snap up top and the expense of some torque down low.

As the bike is for road use i would really like to exploit the power low down and midrange more than top end, also i would like to get away from FMF,as the quality of the pipes we see in the uk seem to be very poor :-)
gowen:
I know you guys in the UK have more choices in pipe manufactures than we do here in the US.. But, between FMF, Pro Circut, and DG. FMF has the overall best quality and dent resistant pipe available.
This is US FMF, I have no clue about FMF in the UK.

I know its in the US but has anyone any info regarding Dynoport pipes?

The US FMF is the same as the UK ones by the way.
I have never really tested pipes to find out what I prefer.
