demographic:
I have some photos of your cylinder from when Zanx had it and he posted up quite a thread on All Things Moto as I don't know the spec all I remember (from looking at the pictures) is that I could see that the transfer ports had been cleaned up to a knife edge.

I am glad to hear that its about ready as it's been a fair project for Zanx and you.

How dod you get on with the hubs as I seem to remember Zanx saying something about weird spacers on it?

Ebay UK is fairly crap for KX500 bits so you might find that it's better to get stuff from the US.

Regards Scott.

PS, I just realised that you must be bigpowerhusky off Visordown :-D

:-Dhi scott,i had the hubs and rims powder coated black, and ordered a set of spacers from talon,at their 3rd attempt they sent me the right ones, you are right about the barrel work,i just hope the engine lasts a while cos so far it has cost me a bloody fortune, ive been told 747 oil is about as good as it gets,so i will feed it nplenty of that, you were right about visordown,i chose the other name cos my other bike is a husky sm570r,which i just had dyno,d at 60.9 rwbhp,so i like annoy the ktm gang

Timbowe:
I too had a major with talon. Many atempts to get me the right spacers and hubs for me bike. Very frustrating.  But worth the wait.   Just.  Anyone seen Haan hubs?

2001KX5:
You absolutely have to tell us what you know about the KX580 stroker set up? Is can not be as simple as using a CR connecting rod and a 40+ oversize piston? Could this be also done with just the connecting and if so what cc size would that yeild?
