k5 engine in rmz frame?

(1/2) > >>

Would it be even remotely possible with the right resources and tools to mount a k5 engine in an aluminum rmz 450 frame? I think that would make one mean a$$ bike, it would be extremely light, have modorn mx suspension and frame technology, and just be flat out cool . Just imagine how sweet it would look with black plastic and some Kawi stickers on it. If this is possible, someday I will do it, might be 2 or 3 years from now but hey, the results would make it worth it. 8-)

Am I stupid :??

Paul:
I've seen a KX500 egine in a KX450F frame. The owners said it's not too much work either. Probably the same amount of work as putting a CR500 engine into a CR450F frame. I know a guy thats done that as well.

metallicarebal:
Do you know if there is anywhere on the net where I could get any pics or information on this? I could very well be mistaken but I don't think anyone has ever put a k5 engine in an rmz frame, not that I have seen anyway. I would prefer using the kxf frame so there wouldn't be any allergic reactions between the motor and the frame . BUT, the rmz has been out for a while now and I'm sure I could get myself one of those frames for much cheaper.

With a bit of luck these pictures will show up...

I think that Teamgreen500 posted them first and I just copied them.
As far as I know its a KX250F with RMZ plastics and a Zipty expansion chamber.
