Just wondering who out there plays video games? You guys know I own an exercise equipment store! How would you like to combine exercise with Video games?

I am addicted!

PS this is not and ad and I am not trying to sell you anything!

Arnax:
I play video games on my xbox and my psp. Also sometimes on the kids NDS, not counting the PC and the occasional firing up of the old Dreamcast or Playstation 1. Haven't plugged the even older SNES in a while, I have an emulator on the psp.
I'm still using the usual controllers though, and frankly I don't see myself using that fitness stuff ;)
My wife uses the Xbox and the Yourself Fitness "game" to exercise. Doesn't need a weird controller, just some weights and some will :)

I would never be a good customer for you, I hate exercise, it's boring. The only things I do are pushups and abs to stay in some kind of a shape in winter. I much prefer just running on the trails (weather permitting) and seeing some wildlife, or simply play pick-up hockey, baseball or basketball games with friends/kids. It's as good exercise as anything you can do at home, and still a lot of fun.

alan:
That is exactly my point! I hate exercise also! But I workout 1 to 3 hours racing motocross on an Xbox video game! I have lost 12 lbs and lowered my resting heart rate 15 bpm and drastically buffed up my muscle tone and increased my stamina! I also think it has sharpened my reaction timing, not to bad for a guy abut to turn 60!

So how does t work exactly? Do you have to move the handle left and right to turn? Can you dose precisely the amount of input you want?
You got me interested :)

alan:
It is an Isometric controller that uses the fly-by-wire technology that is used in F15's! It utilizes hi speed pressure sensing micro processors. So you have to exert force to move the game piece in what ever game you are playing. It has 20 levels of resistance that allows you to tune it to your own body strength!  You can not cheat the resistance settings, because if you set it to light you will never be able to make the coordinated move necessary to win the game! So we play Motocross VS ATV on the X Box and race each other a lot!  I like this game for obvious reasons, but I think it is fairly realistic!  You pull back to lift the front end push forward to preload the suspension for jumps and lean and press left or right to turn! It works on most all game platforms, X-Box, game cube, Nintendo and pc's as well!  It is truly amazing what a work out you get, 15 to 20 minutes in and you soaking wet!  It is way to much fun to be exercising!
