Some pic?s of a wasted crank.

No problem with vibration before that straight. :o
Bigger gas/oil-holes and a C2 or C3 SKF (Sweden)mainbering take care off the problem I hope.

Isn't the difference between C2 and C3 just the bearing clearance?
Don't you just use the tightest clearance you can get away with?
Mines in bits at the moment and would appreciate your input.
What do you mean about bigger Gas/oil holes? The ones by the crank bearing?
Also I am "sharpening" the castings in the areas shown in your topend rebuild thread, have you any other hints that you could PM me?
Regards Scott.
hughes:
Who tures and balances your cranks :?:
doordie:
demographig,
You need a bearing who can handle what rpm you use mostly.
C or C1 is stock and can handle burst up to stock toprev, but generally
not more than and 5000 rpm.
The heat and poor lubrication are a "killer" and you can make the feeding gas/oil holes flow better
and bearings life easier.
Hughes,
A friend of mine true and balance my cranks. 8)
I will changes the balancefactor from now 5000 rpm (MX) which is stock to a another rpm.

doordie:
Here is a "hot" crank!

You said you can make the crank bearing oil feed holes flow better, what does that involve?
Drilling it to a bigger diameter or countersinking the entry point for the oil so it "catches" more oil?
Theres some pics from Zanxs rebuild thread that show the oil feel holes here, how are you planning on changing them?
