klx-drz400 front end on kdx200 h
(1/1)
KXDINO:
In the testing phase on complete 49mm showa right side up klx400 front end on kdx200h , had to machine a new stem up ,as the bottom bearing was loose on klx clamp than just copy kdx one , it does pay to make the new stem 5mm longer where the nut goes, another mod was to add and weld 10mm pieces of alloy to clamp steering stop so the forks dont hit frame .The front end was sitting higher than stock kdx so i lowered the forks internally by 15mm and sits were it should, these forks offer more adjustment and have hardly any overhang down near the axel and the bike looks stock compared to a up side down set up.Another thing these front ends are cheap as there plenty of worn out 400 in the wrecker yards.
KXDINO:
After more testing with the new front end , it feels more flex free over any jumps and g out gullies which what i was trying to improve and turns just like it did with std front end , worth the effort.
