You guys are bound and determined to make me work today :-P
These models it will fit.
59256-1065
Kawasaki Motorcycle 1988 KX500 - KX500-D1 Engine Cover(s)
Kawasaki Motorcycle 2004 KX250 - KX250-M2 Engine Cover(s)
My thought is that it will fit the earlier KX500's.
But if you want to verify, send me your clutch cover, shaft, seals, bearings, and water pump cover, and I'll check it for you.

That covers me. Even if it doesn't fit the 500, I can use it on the 250.

I took the 50/50 out of my bike and ran the Royal Purple, Purple Ice.
I did the same experiment years ago and the results are far superior with the Purple Ice.
I get the same old reason to run waterless instead...
It won't boil over.
True, it won't boil over, your engine can run until it becomes bubbling slag on the ground and the waterless coolant won't boil.
With the Purple Ice, running a 1.8 cap you can run up to 265 f before it will boil.
If your worried about expansion, put a small reservoir on your right rad with the pickup in the bottom...
And I mean small...
I run mine hard in 100F Desert conditions... Slow speed, high RPM's... Never a issue...
But like I always say, if what you are doing works for you... Run it... Mine will just run 30F cooler than yours if not more :-o :-D 8-)

I'm still using Purple Ice with great results, ever since you and Motorrad introduced it to the site a few years back.
