CGR63:
:-D that is where it all be gain for me.
Foxx4Beaver:
Lol...nice...it didn't begin for me there, but it's always been one of my favorite places!
streetsleeper:
Hallo Newbie from New England. I'm a newbie from Olde England, but living in Mexico.
Foxx4Beaver:
Welcome aboard Streetsleeper.
What brought ya to Mexico?
streetsleeper:
Hiya Foxx4Beaver,
I ended up here for the usual reason - a woman. Nine years and two kids later I'm still here. Never seen the sea let alone a beach. We split for a while so I'm now paying alimony, even though we never married. Anyway, that's all a long story. I'd like to say thanks for the welcome - you're the first!
I shall have to learn my way around the site so I can upload pics, though I read somewhere that the site doesn't actually host them as it's too expensive. Also read that if I want to add some things to my name (dunno if that's short message or emoji type thing) then I need to do so before I post ten posts - any pointers would be appreciated.
I've already got an idea for a new thread but busy with the kids this weekend. As for the bike, well it's an '87. Yep, that's gonna be a pain in the arse. It has suffered some typical Mexican abuse: sticking non metric bolts in metric threads; what looks like a KDX200 exhaust (it'll never run right until I sort that out); broken parts here there and everywhere.
My biggest fear is the engine, I read that the '87 had KIPS stickers, and mine has got raised letters inside a rectangle - I just hope to hell it isn't a KX250 cylinder on there but until I can positively identify it, or measure the bore, I shan't know.
I look forward to chatting to you guys and gleaning some info - should be fun. Hope to get the bike started this week, or at the very least find out if there are serious problems not yet visible. So, thanks again Foxx4Beaver!
