Yeah, I read that later.  Alta is done for.  Sad, as their bike was really starting to be something special.  Why can't an American firm make a dirt bike that lasts?  Is Austria or Italy a better manufacturing location than here?

One of our local big Dealers had a display of them and they looked good to me. The bicycle looking off road bikes I have seen seem like they would be pretty cool.

aint that the truth!  i used to live there and can't believe i tolerated it as long as i did. prices are insane

I never understood why so many companies start out in California.  It's so much more expensive for labor and land, not to mention taxes and fees.
