New (to me) 2003 KX125...Magneto Cover question

I'm new to the Kawasaki world. I've had Honda's and Suzuki's, so when I ordered a magneto/generator cover from Kawasaki (OEM part) I was surprised to see that said cover was plastic :?

1. Is this correct?
2. Is there an aftermarket metal cover?

Unfortunately, you are correct.  I like these aftermarket aluminum ones made by Boyeson.

Kawafornication:
Boyesen ones look real nice but think Topar might make them too, I know they do for the 250.

I have also seen these SFB covers so gives you some options
