kx100 power?

I have to ask how much can a 115lb girl can stress the bike in sand?  It it was a heavyweight like me maybe but I would suggest that with her the bike would handle it just fine.  You likely will have to swap tires if it is real sand. It would take her from zero to hero just having some decent soft terrain tires on there to boost her confidence .  I know the steahly flywheel weight adds quite a bit of lugability to the engine and V force can bring up the bottom end power.  I was looking at an '05 at the shop a few days ago. Amazingly light and comfy bike. Also keep in mind that the RM100 is the same bike. Cam.

How much can 115 lb stress the kx100 in the sand?  That was/is the question I was hoping to answer with this thread.  I am unfamiliar with the kx100 and the power it makes and wanted to determine if it is enough, or if I should be looking for something more.  From what Im hearing so far, it sounds like that will be enough power for her.

Thanks for the RM tip, I didnt know that.

Sbg,
I was researching and it makes 24hp.  Not sure what a stock KDX makes but I doubt it is much more than that.  Heck, that's probably more than my first 1974 250 made.  My wife has an XR200. Really nice bike but has a mere 14hp and weights 240lbs (you'd never know it to ride it - it's fun).  It takes at least $1500 to max it out at 24hp (that the KX already has) but is still an astonishing 120lbs heavier than the KX100. The last KX100 I rode was light, nimble, had great suspension and was quite powerful. I haven't personally tried the flywheel weight, but I read an online article where they were making one into a girls trailbike and it sounded like the ticket. I don't see how you could go wrong. Hope this helps. Cam.
