kx100 power?

(1/4) > >>

sbg:
I am looking to get my girlfriend a sand dune bike.  She weighs 113 pounds in my favorite outfit, and I am wondering if the 100 will be enough stank for her in the sand.

How do the kx100's compare to the 80cc bikes in power?

Thanks.

Rowdy-Yates:
I have never ridden a 100. I think a 100 would be ok for her. BUT has she ridden before? Not only that has she ridden a two-stroke? I must add this too the sand is very hard on smaller bikes. Have you considered a crf 150 or one of those odd size 4 strokes they are making nowadays. hmm kdx 200 if you want a kaw!

Timbowe:
Agreed on the KDX200. Kx 100 could be a little snappy. The kdx would be more durable for sand work. Also can be lowered easily enough to suit her height.

KXcam22:
Both are great bikes.  I'm a big KDX fan, but I am considering a KX100 for my wife. The KX100 with a steahly flywheel weight make for an excellent girls bike.  It has the advantage of being almost 100 lbs lighter than the KDX200 and is close in hp. If she is tall enough, the KDX would definitely be more durable. Cam.

sbg:
Thats where Im coming from too.  She is 115 pounds and a kdx200 is @ 220.  that would be like me riding a 425 lb. dirtbike.  Ouch.

I am also a fan of the kdx but as mentioned it is a full sized bike.  The kx100 packs the biggest punch I can find one step below full size dimensions(125).

I hear what your saying that sand will stress the smaller motor, I thought the kx100's are powerful as heck though?
