Installing 2017 KX 250F plastic on my 2004 KX 250, 2003 250, 2005 125

I figured I would see how the kit compares to using a conversion kit, like the MX Powder kit I purchased on eBay.
Option 1:
TX Race Kit - $335, includes everything
Option 2:
MX Powder Kit - $200.00 (as I remember)
2017 KX subframe - AC Racing $260.00
Stock KX250F Tank - $175.00 (if you can find them)
Acerbis X-Seat - $179.99
Acerbis full plastic kit - $125
DeCal Works OEM shroud graphics - $49.95 (estimated)
Total - $989.94
If you add in shipping of $96 to Oklahoma for the TX Race Kit, you still get a savings of $558.94. :-o

I don't think you can get the brackets and air boot pieces from that ebay seller anymore, it would be interesting to see if you could use the TX kit along with the KXF 250 tank 👍🏼

I had issues getting the tank to fit correctly. I was going to heat it pretty extensively to get it to sit down in the frame rails on my 250.
Kawafornication:
Did you use a KXF 240 or 450 tank?
That Tyler "Breaking News / Illegal Dirt Bike / Illegal Pit Bike" ZZzzzzz Monagan dude on youtube doesn't not seem to be the brightest of sparks and do not think he would be capable of heating a fart with any real success let alone a tank and he didn't mention anything about fitment issues with the KXF 250 tank but did say he had a 450 one for sale at the time.

Mine was a 250F. Most guys try this swap on a 125, so maybe that makes a difference?
