1. Does anyone know if this is how the spring is supposed to look
2. Does anyone have a pic of how the spring is supposed to be installed

I believe the two ends actually cross one another.
You will see when you get your new spring.
Look at the exploded diagram.
Once you get the correct spring, stack it exactly as the picture shows.
I think you will better understand when you have the part.

My new spring got here today. The ends do cross like you said. I had it installed in 5 minutes. Thanks for the help!
