This is a list of discontinued parts for the KX500

Good thing we can still get good aftermarket springs :-)
Thanks!

It is good that the aftermarket is supplying springs still. There is one issue though. The aftermarket from what I have found picks up where OEM left off as far as spring rates go. OEM covered .39, .40 and .41. Now only stiffer then OEM, .42 and higher are available from the aftermarket. That's fine for heavier riders but lighter weight riders or persons that simply want to run stock are left hanging. This also effects the KX125 and KX250 riders with the 46mm forks from the late 1990s/early 2000s as they ran the same springs.
We can also add 44026-1623 .39 OEM springs to the list of unavailable parts too I believe. I tried ordering a set when I posted above over a month ago. They ended up in back order purgatory as well. I finally gave up on finding a new set and cancelled the order. It sucks because my KX500 has the .41 and the ride height is too stiff and high for me. Guess I will have to try and find a used set.

Any progress out there on shift forks? Could use a set. Got my motor split right now

Zip so far.
I had my last set hard chrome plated.
Works great...
Wasn't cheap.
