91 Pipe + Silencer fitment

Recently came by a pretty clean 91 KX 250 with a few issues. While messsing with it, I noticed  that the silencer on the bike doesn't fit right.

Pipe is marked "Pro Circuit 91 KX 2897" - despite researching, I can't find any information about what it is. If anyone can help out, that's a huge boon.

The silencer doesn't have any marks anywhere. It went in the trash. It doesn't fit at all. I suspect it was for an older 125 based on the size.

What silencers will fit the 91 with this particular pipe? Will a stock pipe from a 90 work?

1st, welcome to the site J-Pat.

You should be able to use any silencer from '90-'91, like Pro Circuit, FMF, or an OEM.

or search e-bay for any one of these brands for a used one, from a '90 or '91.

I had a 91 kx 250 in my younger days. Nice bike and welcome aboard! As stated, FMF or Pro Circuit should be able to help you out.
