Anyone had rotator cuff surgery?
umberto:
I know I will be "adjusting" my riding style once I get back from this. I need to stop trying to ride like I'm 20 again. I don't want to go through surgery/physical therapy 3-6 months off the bike again. I'm also a lot more motivated to stay in better shape. The only thing that can protect your shoulder is the muscle.
umberto:
I had my surgery yesterday, and it looks like I really dodged a bullet. The tear was much smaller than what they saw on the MRI, and they were able to just clean up some loose stuff and send me on my way. I should be back to normal on this shoulder in a couple of weeks, not months. Now it's on to the right shoulder. Yay!
Thank you again Brute and DoldGuy for all the advice. I felt very comfortable going in to the surgery thanks to you guys.
Danger4u2:
Hey, we can be a riding team. Your shoulder my ankle.
You start my bike and I will lead you on easy trails. :-D
umberto:
Sounds like a plan. I'm just so glad my bike won't be parked for these months, I'd even ride the kiddie trails at Draper. :-D
DoldGuy:
Glad they found less & not more damage, this should have you back riding in no time!
