KX85 Clutch Housing
Bidule:
Hi guys
I removed the clutch cover on my son's KX85 2011 today and i noticed that there is some play on the clutch housing, i need to know if this is normal or not ? :?
I am trying to isolate a knocking noise coming from the engine, i tought it was the big end bearing but i removed the cylinder and i can't feel any play on the con rod lower bearing.
I uploaded a short video here https://youtu.be/ViKIKCZMjvA. I appreciate your help.

might be worth pulling the clutch pack, and be sure everything is in order....
there should be three washers in there, (two of them identical)...if one of those washers are missing or broken, or worn out, it could cause some play...check the bushing to be sure it's not played out too.
it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the 2 needle bearing cages, the washers, and bushing anyways whilst it's apart, should be under $50....but that's just me.

I bought the bike couple weeks ago and the guy said the engine has never been opened before so there shouldn't be missing parts.
I will buy the 24mm socket tomorrow to remove the clutch basket and will check to make sure.
If there is no missing parts, can this be a bearing inside the crankcase ?

You might want to buy the tusk clutch tool too, it's cheap and has worked great on all my bikes from 85cc to 500cc. Just don't get Foxx started on Rocky Mountain MC!!
