KX500 BOTTOM END REBUILD FOR SCOT By JT Engine Works & OEM-CYCLE

<< < (4/5) > >>

sandblaster:
Scot had a friend of his do it for him.
I don't know who or if he would be willing to do more..

sandblaster:
Stripped the trans, cleaned every part, inspected everything, replaced every cir-clip, washer, and bushing..   Standard stuff :-)

Fresh out of the oven..   No freezing of the cranks anymore... Don't need it...

Drop in the crank while it is hot..

sandblaster:
Oh yeah...

Tomorrow we will button up everything except for the flywheel because it isn't here yet  :x

Abbott:
d**n nice work fella's!

sandblaster:
Thanks!

A bit more progress..

This basket had been filed on before and the tangs were angled instead of inline with the clutch plates so it was going to wear out very quickly.
So, Jason files them square again.
While filing on a clutch basket really should not be done, the basket can be replaced relatively easily.
And, with a new bottom end you don't want the customer to have shifting issues so.. File away..
