Changing front wheel size on kx80

Hi guys,

Just brought a 2000 kx80 for my kid, unfortunately yes a little short and the 17' front tire makes the bike a little to tall for him. What are the options to reducing the size of the front tire ( while keeping the std brake setup)

Is a kx65 14 ' a straight fit? I'd are there other options?
