Restored 87 KX250......Done
dinkyguitar:
Hi All,
I've been working on this for over a year.
Basically replaced all the engine bearings and seal, connecting rod, piston, rings. New rims, spokes, chain, sprockets, grips, rebuilt rear shock, all suspensions bearings....almost everything. And new coil & stator...front/rear rotors, pads, I could keep going.
She starts first or second kick and runs/rides nice.

Thanks guys....I might in the future add graphics but everyone wants so darn much for them....although it would look better.
As for the lights.....I managed to make a box out of sheet metal and shoe horn it under the seat behind the airbox.
The battery is an SLA 12v 7.2 amp battery for UPS power supplies...pretty cheap.
It should last a few hours with the daytime running light....not sure how long it would last using the main headlight...but the battery doesn't need to be connect if your running off road...
dinky,
