We just fixed a case that was about that bad.

I know it can be fixed, I'm just not certain my seagull can handle it.

so were you able to determine what was used to patch it up...J.B. Weld or fiberglass resin or something else?

I believe it is JB Weld.
And it sorta worked  :-)

cool...J.B. is decent stuff...it's gotten me out of a couple binds over the past 12ish years.
