89 KX250 throttle valve help

Hello, just got a 89 KX250. Has some issues, sent carb out to get vapor cleaned, was really oxidized inside. The throttle valve is pitted and is a *7. I have found a *65 and a *8. Which would work better or will neither work. Bike is running a 69.50 piston kit and seems a little flat in the middle. No expert here and could use a little help.
