umberto:
It was a little complicated.  I sanded off the stock mounting bucket from the KXF and then cut the mounting bucking out of my stock 04 shrouds.

The stock gas tank bolt lined up nicely with the next hole over in the shroud, so I glued the bucket to the shroud with super glue just to hold it in place.

I then put fiberglass drywall tape and JB Weld in from behind.

The two bottom holes I had to build simple aluminum brackets to get from the stock radiator mounts to the mounting holes.  It was probably a lot easier than I made it, but I would definitely recommend a warm garage.  JB Weld and super glue don't like the cold.

nice job, and that's cool you took pics of the process!
I've seen a couple bikes with the F shrouds before, but never got the chance to ask  anyone how well the fit was.
it's definitely a different look...and it gives more options to some of the newer graphics you can't get for the older 2T's/bikes.

Thank you.  I try to remember to always take pics of what I've done.  It saves time when I have to remember how to fix it later when I've done something stupid.   :-D

Scrub:
Alot of work to fix that shroud man!! Can pick them up on eBay or Craig's list for next to nothing!

Foxx4Beaver:
Scrub...do you make any OEM style graphics?
