Kx60 clutch problems

yes, drain the oil...
you can lay the bike on it's side without draining the oil, and work on the clutch, but you could be out of commission for a few days if you need parts....so you'd be better off draining it.

you'll more than likely need an 8mm socket or an 8mm T-Handle to remove the cover...not sure what size you'll need for the kick starter on a 60. Remove the rear brake pedal.
the best tool you can get at this point, is a service manual...as you sound like you don't have a ton of experience in motor maintenance...which there's nothing wrong with that, that's why we're here :-D

Yeah could do with a manual and it's a 98 model sure I did this on my dt125 :/
