500AF exhaust
Kwackerman:
Hey brother,
Check out the MPS Racing (George Fanelli) at (419) 352-4707. George has been building AF hybrids for years (longer than SH) and he has an exclusive contract with Dynaport (one of the first companies to make aftermarket exhausts for MX in the 70s) for his K5 pipes. You can see a picture on George's website at http://www.mps500af.com/. Cost is $400.00. He said it's dyno tested and provides equivalent power output to the CR500 exhaust. You could talk to him about any power gains. I don't recall him saying whether or not it was actually better and I didn't ask. The pipe is routed up high over the water fitting on the cylinder eveyone hates, so you don't have to bend it. It's a good looking set up. I ordered one and should have it next week. I'll post a performance report on it. Howie

I talked to Dynoport the other day, they said nothing about having to buy it from MPS but did say his stampings to make the initial part of the pipe are on back order until December. A customer of mine and I have a pair on order.
Dutch-K5 Fan:
How can MPS make af's longer than SH?
SH started in 97 with the first alu honda. Did they make a own frame than?
Mine AF has a Rino/ Spes cr500 pipe. Doesn't feel bad. With MX riding you don't need the power as with climbing
